FAQ
Q: What is a Collectible Card Game?
A: Traditional card games like poker , Uno®, or bridge are played with identical
decks. Every deck has the same number of cards, hearts, clubs, queens, kings...you get the
idea.
Collectible card games are played with card decks customized by each player. Each player creates his or her deck by selecting a wide variety of cards that will help that player achieve his goal of winning the game. There is a high amount of strategy that goes into customizing your deck. Each card effects the gameplay in it's own unique way. Many cards have stronger effects if used in combination with other cards. There are millions of possible combinations of cards and decks, so no two games are ever the same.
The Angel Collectible Card Game features characters, locations, situations and other elements from the hit TV show so each game unfolds much like an episode from the series. Imagine taking on the roll of Angel, Cordelia, or Doyle as you fight off demons and other evil forces in the City of Angels. Or, if you've got more of a darker side, you can play as blah, and plot to bring about the end of the world.
Q: Aren't those things just for kids?
A: Not any more. With the release of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Collectible Card
Game we have seen a strong surge of older players 24 - 40 and older becoming interested in
collectible card games. For many of these players, this is the first time they had ever
played a collectible card game. But with the easy to learn guided game that is included in
each starter box, you'll be defeating demons in no time. Many of these players are playing
the game with neighbors, girlfriends, boyfriends, husbands, or wives.
Q: How do you play?
A: Each starter includes a rule book and a guided game to make learning the game
easy and fun. You can also download
the rulebook from the Pergamum Prophecy starter decks right here on the site. Just
click on the "Buffy Rulebook" links on the left-hand column. The rulebook has
been separated into three parts to decrease the individual size of the downloads.
Q: Where can I get the cards?
A: Check the store
locator on the site to find stores in your area that carry the cards. New stores are
added all the time so you may also want to browse your local phone book for Comic Shops
and Game dealers in your area that may also carry the cards.
